Pros: The 'big poet' referred to is Simon Jenko, one of Slovenia's most lauded, and this was how he was described by a young visitor to his former residence. This is both an apartment for rent and an occasional cultural centre, in an excellent location just off the main square in the attractive old town of Kranj. It's not only atmospheric, but well-maintained with a helpful host. The apartment was well-stocked for our visit, and any concerns were dealt with swiftly and efficiently. A USB featuring a documentary on Jenko, who had a hard time at the hands of ill-intentioned critics but became a national treasure, was a welcome gift.

Cons: It wasn't quite as warm as we would have liked, but we visited in late November (for an Art Expo in nearby Park Brdo, billed as being 'in Ljubljana' which was a 60 euro taxi ride away) - the layout of the apartment let in colder air from the entrance, but this didn't spoil the experience and, in any case, this wouldn't be a problem at a more sensible time of the year to visit. Also, and this is no fault whatsoever of the host, we were surprised (coming from the UK and Hungary) to find out that the nearest supermarket closed at 2 on Saturday and that Sunday appears to be a retail-free zone in Kranj. Anyone self-catering should bear this in mind but, then again, as we were staying in the home of a 19th century poet, these 19th century opening hours seemed oddly appropriate.

Pros: We like the concept of cultural heritage and modern design. The app is cozy and the location is awsome.

Pros: It was in the middle of Kranj, everything was within walking distance. They sended all the information to go there without checking in at the reception because we couldn't be there on time which was perfect.

Pros: Very good location on a nice quiet street in the old town. Compared to my home country i really enjoyed the night as they were quiet and you can relax all the time. Slovenia is beautiful and has many things to see and show !

Très bon séjour

Pros: L'appartement a beaucoup de charme. Il est fonctionnel. La literie est excellente dans la chambre. Très bonne communication avec le propriétaire qui nous explique pour les parkings à proximité, on peut rentrer en voiture dans le centre pour déposer les valises. Le logement est bien situé pour visiter la région, et c'est sympa d'être dans le centre. Il y a en effet un bruit de ventilation mais je pense qu'il n'y a pas le choix, ce sont des bâtiments anciens.
