Vila Kobdilj 1835 Historic Homestead with Shared Courtyard

Super property and great location

Pros: Beautiful property which the owners have been renovating with a lot of good taste (it won a design award). Great location just by the old village of Stanjel.

Cons: Just the parking issue - there are only a couple of spaces inside the property and a couple more just outside but with a blind bend just before (not sure you would want to risk a hire car) but that is not nearly enough for the number of rooms plus a big apartment that are rented out. In the village nearby are a few places to park but most are full by early evening so you may be stuck if you go out for dinner by car.

Pros: Very tastefully renovated, beautiful surroundings and courtyard, lovely hosts! Local wine can be bought on site and coffee is available. Quaint picturesque medival town within walking distance.

Cons: Abit tricky to park on the road if courtyard slots are full.

Pros: A beautiful apartment, refurbished with lots of love and care. The facilities were excellent and the apartment has a sense of personality and style. Communication through Booking.com was a little impersonal, I asked for recommendations on restaurants and was basically told to Google it. I believe the apartments are administered by a business. That said the owners were very nice so I suggest any communication you have via them rather than through Booking.com messages. The area itself is wonderful and this is a fabulous base.

Pros: The host Meta did welcome us at arrival and showed us the renovated apartment in the authentic building close to Stanjel (1km). The location was perfect for us to enjoy the nice house/ building/ garden. The owners fully renovated the old house from 1835 into something special, into today’s requirements while keeping the authenticity of the building, rooms and apartments. The environment is lovely and gives plenty of opportunity of sightseeing (we did a lot by bicycles) to enjoy nature and the old villages in between the lovely wineries. In Stanjel, you can find a very nice loungebar, restaurant to enjoy lunch and/ or dinner in a beautiful setting! Quality of service and food is very good!

Pros: The property is carefully renovated in the traditional Karst style. One can tell that the hosts did not save on keeping the authenticity of the place (which is sometimes the case), the equipment is authentic, preserved/renovated, and the rooms are really equipped to taste (the hostess is a wood craft artist and produced many wooden objects and ornaments herself. The place is peaceful, pleasant - definitely a place to go!

Cons: Can't really find anything that did not meet our expectations or taste.

Pros: We had such a wonderful stay at the apartment. truly relaxing and peaceful. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The outdoor garden with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen was a great bonus, perfect for enjoying meals outside. The apartment had everything we needed and was beautifully designed. Located in a calm and quiet area, it’s the ideal place to unwind and recharge. Highly recommended!

Pros: smuk renoveret homestead fra 1835 med hyggelig indergård; det var et lille historisk vingesus at lave mad i køkkenet og spise under vinrankerne. Værterne Metzka og Tomaz var enormt søde og hjælpsomme

Pros: Miejsce i klimat 10/10, duży ogród, duża przestrzeń. Mieszkanie było podzielone na dwie części (otwarta góra/dół)i bardzo przestronne. Świetna kuchnia w której można gotować. Wokół cisza i spokój, można zjeść kolację na zewnątrz, kupić wino z lokalnej winiarni (polecamy!). Uwaga na komary ;) Właścicielka bardzo pomocna. Świetne miejsce na okoliczny wypad
