Sunny Hill

Peaceful, comfortable, good location for multiple sites.

Pros: It’s in a very peaceful setting, on the outskirts of a small village on a hillside, with beautiful views over the karst landscape. The hosts, although next door, were very friendly and helpful, but unobtrusive. The outdoor area (where we spent most of our time) has a well-enough fitted kitchen and comfortable seating. The bed was large and comfortable. This was a very good base for visiting the sites: caves, the coast, Lipica for the horses etc. we can’t recommend it highly enough.

Cons: The only thing we needed to ask for was a coffee machine, which they provided very quickly.

Pros: Our stay was only for one night, but we wished it could have been longer. The unit was stunning, with a tasteful design that made it feel both spacious and cozy. It has all the necessary facilities. The surrounding garden was filled with beautiful flowers, and the views of the mountains were spectacular. The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful, assisting us with an issue we had with ticket bookings. We look forward to returning on our next trip to Slovenia.

Lovely clean, apartment with great views & hosts

Pros: The hosts were very nice, friendly and helpful. The apartment was exceptionally clean. It had beautiful & amazing views.

Cons: It was slightly difficult to find as Booking.com doesn't have the exact location, but the village is small and locals helped guide us.

Terrace with a view!

Pros: What a view! Luxurious apartment with an amazing terrace and outdoor kitchen. Janez and his wife welcomed us our into their home on arrival for a coffee and some biscuits, authentic Slovenian hospitality!

Lovely accommodation, a bit remote, but beautiful location!

Pros: Very clean and comfortable! Beautiful property and surroundings! Nice hosts!

Cons: There was‘t anything we didn‘t like, just something to note: when using GPS to go there it’s best use the phone (i.e. Google maps), because our car GPS took us off-road.

A beautiful stay

Pros: An absolute gem. The views from the patio were truly beautiful and everything about the apartment was perfect. Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay on their journey. A warm thank you to our hosts!

Ruhige Unterkunft mit super netten Gastgebern.

Pros: Wir hatten eine entspannte und ruhige Zeit in der Unterkunft. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit in allen Belangen! Es war alles da, was man brauchte. Die Außenküche und Terrasse sind eher für die warmen Monate geeignet, zum Frühstücken war es manchmal schon zu kalt im September.

Cons: Es gab nichts Negatives! Man muss sich nur darauf einstellen bzw. kein Problem damit haben, dass man mit den Gastgebern „Tür an Tür“ wohnt und diesen immer Mal begegnet. Gestört hat uns das nicht.
