Very nice small hotel

Pros: Location was perfect, close to the border with Italy and Austria. The hotel was very nice. The staff were very kind. Breakfast was ok, not so rich, but it was ok. Definitely I would come back! Thank you

Pros: Highlights: * Staff: Exceptionally welcoming and attentive. Beyond excellent service, they genuinely cared about my well-being. * Facilities: Cozy, comfortable, clean, and perfect for rest. * Food: Great variety and quality; fresh and satisfying. * Location: Easy to reach by public transport, with beautiful surroundings, even in pouring rain. Can’t recommend this place enough, I’d happily come back any time.

Pros: I evaluate hotel Vintranc instead of Šurc, because they changed our room to a different hotel. Clean and comfortable, but quite a small room. Parking in front of the building, nice staff.

Cons: After the reservation they wrote me message that due to a water leak they have to change our room to a different hotel (few minutes away in Podkoren - the Vintranc boutique hotel). According to the reviews, it is not the first time they did it and it seems they offer you the change to this Vintranc hotel when they have overbooking (not a water leak). We agreed to change it, but honestly the new hotel looked betrer on the website. It is quite old, looks like in Transylvania :)) But it was okayish, the staff was nice. Only the breakfest wasn't like promised in the original hotel - it was served, it took 30 minutes to get the breakfast (we had to order it and wait) and it was quite small and not so good. But overall quiet ok. Honestly next time I would refuse the change and find something different.

Pros: Stuff was very kind and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Rateče is a small village with villagers living their life. If you like morning rooster waking you up and cows on the roads, thats the place for you. Not crowded like Krajnska Gora.
