Škerlj Wine Estate

Lovely host and breathtaking views by the pool

Pros: We had a great time at the Skerlj Wine Estate. The host really made an effort to help us with any questions or recommendations nearby, even booked us a taxi. Thanks to her we stopped by a local prsut and wine festival nearby which was great. Apart from her great help, the estate is just amazing. The views are so nice. We loved the pool area and just taking in the view. Everything at the estate is taken care of; pool towels, sunscreen, games, mosquito spray, coffee and tea and definitely get the breakfast, it has all you can think of and the host makes the best eggs! There also is a lot to do in the area, as you can see in a little booklet in the room.

Cons: You really need to have a car to stay here, which was fine for us but something to keep in mind! Also, definitely spray the mosquito spray if you're out late.

Pros: The setting amongst the vineyards was just gorgeous and the pool and sunloungers overlooking the vines were idyllic. Hostess was super welcoming and helpful.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: This place is such a gem: really helpful and friendly staff, such a beautiful location and characterful rooms.

Pros: Beautiful place, really relaxed. Host is just wonderful, the offer nice wine tastings (wine is good!). Also rooms are cozy and nice. I really recommend this place

Vacations in a dream of wine

Pros: It's a very special place. You feel truly part of the family and everything is just so natural. The owners are so nice and helpful. The pool is great, the wine is fantastic, the view and the porch are one of a kind. What makes it special that It is a type of holiday you can't compare to a regular hot or apartment. It's one of a kind and I can only recommend it.

Cons: The estate is very historical what makes it's charm, but of course you have things like a floor that is cracking. It's part of the experience though.

Pros: A family run wine estate, the family were so very welcoming. Well appointed rooms, with many places to sit outside & enjoy the peaceful country views.

Nice country side property

Pros: Property is very spacious and open to breathe in fresh country air. Very good view of the wine estate from the swimming pool. Good space for parking too.

Cons: Nothing specific. We were happy with our stay.

Recommend for the silence!

Pros: Beautiful landscapes, relaxing walkings through the wineyard, amazing sunsets, complete silence. Very kind and hardworking hosts, exemplary cleanliness and obviously excelent wine that you also may buy for home.

A great place to relax

Pros: The best gettaway place. If you are looking for peace and calm, this is the place to go to. And the wine is lovely as well.

Not to be missed

Pros: The breakfast was lovely, Mirjana was an exceptional host full of information, extremely helpful and all round lovely person. The pool was in a beautiful setting overlooking the vineyard. Would definitely stay again if in the area

Cons: It's not that we didn't like we just feel a restaurant would be a great idea, however they are still improving the place so probably will have soon.
