Smetova - The Blue Door House

Value for money and very good host

Pros: Property is nice but what stood out was the host. She went above and beyond our expectations and made our stay enjoyable. Always with a smile. It’s hard to find that nowadays.

Cons: It feels like living in a cave. Very clean and with a parking just outside.

A confortable house in the Slovenian wine valley

Pros: We are a family of 5 and stayed 2 nights in summer. The house is located in a village in the middle of the wine valley, easy to access. In its immediate vicinity, you can visit vineyards and make nice walks. The roads are faster here than in the rest of Slovenia so you can radiate from here to quite a few places. The house is confortable, well equipped, very clean, well decorated (enough but not too much). The kitchen is large, with a dishwasher and a decent coffee machine, and sufficient kitchenware. The hosts are nice people and and were helpful. Everybody, parents and children liked the house.

Cons: The door to the room of the upper floor is small - you need to kneel down to access it (no problem for children). No wash machine Some mosquitoes when we were there - but the owners provide repellent (in plugs) so no one was bitten.

Character House

Pros: Newly renovated house with lots of character. It's well equipped and has very stylish decor. Located in a quiet village. Owner is incredibly helpful and friendly.

Pros: Neža and her partner are incredible. They were very accommodating and very quick to respond to any questions. They were also flexible with check-in and check-out times, which was extremely helpful. The space was very clean and it’s smelled amazing, there was everything we needed for comfortable stay there. Apartment has a really nice location and there is many nice things to do in the area. Would love to stay there again in the future.

Hidden gem in Vipava valley

Pros: We've had the best time in Smetova. The host was very hospitable and helpful with all the information about accomodation and attractions nearby. The place is extremly clean and well equiped. We totally recommend and can't wait to be back again. 😁👌

Pros: Sehr sauber und voll ausgestattet. Die beiden Schlafzimmer sind niedlich und elegant eingerichtet. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett und entgegenkommend. Auch die Nachbarschaft ist freundlich.

Cons: Die Unterkunft ist recht hellhörig.

Fantastisch

Pros: Reza was een fantastische host. Vriendelijk en heel behulpzaam. Alles is in het huis aanwezig en de omgeving biedt heel veel mogelijkheden. Zeker een aanrader om naartoe te gaan!

Une maison de charme et un accueil très chaleureux

Pros: Une maison pleine de charme au cœur d'un village calme avec la climatisation bien appréciable quand il fait très chaud. Nous avons était accueillis de manière très chaleureuse par la propriétaire et sa famille qui nous ont donné de supers conseils pour découvrir la region. Nous avons passé un super séjour.

Vacances en famille, road trip en Slovénie

Pros: Une très jolie maison très bien équipée avec tout ce qu’il faut pour passer un séjour mémorable. Une petite terrasse pour déguster les bons vins de la vallée de la Vipava après avoir couché les enfants. Le calme de ce village fait beaucoup de bien. Les propriétaires sont adorables et donnent de très bons conseils pour les visites du coin.Exceptionnel

Cons: Tout est parfait
