Blackbird House Štanjel Historic Center

Pros: We had an absolutely perfect stay at Blackbird House! Everything was wonderful from start to finish. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming. We were lucky to have sunny weather, so we could really enjoy the beautiful terrace. The interior of the house was well equipped and we didn't have any problems. This is a true gem in Štanjel—highly recommended!

Excellent experience stay

Pros: Great experience to live in the old medieval walls. Very comfy, feeling like at home when the apartment is so well equipped. Quick contact with the host.

Cons: Be aware that the gate to the old town is very narrow for the car, so you need to close your side mirrors if you don't want to scratch ;) or just park outside the city walls and have a nice walk up the hill.

Pros: Very unique experience of living in the castle. Peaceful and quiet, even church bells at 6 am did not ruin it. The host is very helpful and thoughtful. The amount of supplies left to our disposal was unseen anywhere else.

The owner gave us a warm welcome with some lovely local wine and filled fridge and made sure we had a lovely stay

Pros: A lovely renovated house with great details. Wel equipped kitchen, lovely terrace with great view in the middle of the old village of Stanjel, an Unesco site.

Cons: Niets

Four days of heaven inside the castle walls were made even more heavenly thanks to this place!

Pros: The location was beyond perfect and the private terrace overlooking the 15th century church was magical! The host had the fridge, kitchen & bathroom stocked like a grocery store and his instructions for the parking & the house were helpful & clear. His recommendations were spot on & the speed with which he replied could not have been quicker. Seriously, we spent 4 amazing nights inside the castle walls & didn't want to leave. We can't wait to tell our friends to book this place.... so you better book it asap!

Lovely stay!

Pros: Amazing view of Stanjel's church from the private terrace. Lovely, spacious apartment and the host was very helpful!

Cons: Parking is a little bit challenging because of the town's narrow streets and places to eat out within walking distance are in short supply when it's outside of the main season, so plan ahead!

Kraški biser..

Pros: Cudovit ambient in dobrodošlica - zakurjen kamin. Napolnjen hladilnik z osnovnimi jestvinami in še več, vino, sadje, prigrizki,... Bili smo navdušeni nad lokacijo in udobjem bivanja. Se bomo prišli.

Cons: Vse je bilo OK.

A perfect stay — peaceful, beautifully equipped house in the very center, with a magical terrace

Pros: Hiša je samem centru a hkrati nudi vso zasebnost in tišino, vendar je treba zadnjih nekaj metrov (stopnic) narediti peš. Udobje in oprema hiše je izjemna. Terasa z lučkami je bila ob mraku čarobna.

Cons: I honestly have no negative comment about this accommodation – everything was perfect.

Pros: Die Terrasse, die Fensterbänke, das ganze wunderschöne Dorf, die Ruhe (abgesehen vom Kirchengeläut um 6:00 Uhr), Die vorhandenen Vorräte , die Klimaanlagen

Cons: Das Kirchengeläut um 6:00 Uhr, etwas mehr Geschirr wäre praktisch
