A good stay

Pros: Good location, a 10 minute walk from Solkan railway station. Its also not far from a local supermarket. Reception was able to check me in early as the room was already set. Staff were friendly and also kept my backpack secure for me to collect later upon the day of checking out. Breakfast was good to a decent range of cold foods with fewer hot options but still sufficient. Bedroom was large enough for me and comfortable.

Cons: I did fancy using the restaurant on site, however whilst there was a few people eating at the bar area and tables near it there was no staff to be found. I waited around for a bit without success and subsequently left (this was around 6pm). Be aware the hotel is quite far out from visiting Gorizia with the castle and main square being a hours walk away. It is ideal however if looking to get the train or otherwise hike Mt, Sobotin due to its closer proximity. Nit-picking would be that the TV in the room does not allow for screen sharing from phone, the cocoa was out for the drinks machine at breakfast.

2 nights in Solkan with friends

Pros: Nice hotel in the north area of Nova Gorica. (Solkan). Basic rooms with comfy beds, everything was spotless clean. Many options for breakfast and we had also had a nice dinner in the restaurant one night. Free parking available. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good value for money!

Cons: Nothing, everything was good.

Nice traditional hotel with a decent restaurant and cyclist friendly

Pros: Nice, larger, traditional hotel - good condition despite being a bit older Good-sized, comfortable room and bathroom with tiny balcony Air conditioning in room Nice restaurant with outdoor patio and good food at decent prices Good, secure bike storage Quiet town location and close to Soca River Bike Path

Cons: Breakfast was ok but coffee from their machines was not drinkable (we paid extra to get restaurant cappuccinos)

Good hotel with good base for cycling

Pros: Good hotel (old charm), especially if you come for cycling (special storage room for bikes), good restaurant, ok breakfast, ok room, free parking

Good value for money

Pros: Delicious and varied breakfast: ham, cheese, scrambled eggs, sausages, sweet pastries. Easily accessible, quiet area.

Cons: Uncomfortable, hard bed. I put an extra blanket under the sheet to make it more comfortable.

Satisfaction.

Pros: It was further from Goriizia station than I anticipated but that was due to my search.

Cons: The space and staff. Well placed on bus routes.

Very expensive basic stay

Pros: Clean room and lovely staff. Garage available for bicycle storage.

Cons: Room was very hot at night (AC not working). Very expensive stay for a basic room in a quiet location.

Pros: I could hear clearly noises from the room next to mine. Apart from this - perfect.

It was very nice experience, love to visit again.

Pros: Very nice and helpful stuff, great breakfast, very clean room, food in a restaurant downstairs perfect, wi-fi very good, tv also working, parking enought space (I travel with a wan,) pet friendly- I travel with 2 dogs (a labrador retriever and a standard poodle), additional payment for dogs, I was informed in advance, I agreed to it. Nice big bed.
