Terme Olimia - Hotel Sotelia

Terme Olimia – Hotel Sotelia is located in the small town Podcetrtek, surrounded by lush greenery. It is connected to the the Wellness Centre Termalija and Wellness Orhidelia with an underground corridor. At the Wellness Centre Termalija, the largest sauna complex in Slovenia, guests can enjoy free of charge facilities such as indoor and outdoor swimming pools and 3 different types of saunas, as well as fitness facilities. The Wellness hotel Sotelia also features Spa Armonia – Wellness Centre which offers beauty treatments and various massages, including traditional and ayurvedic massages at a surcharge. Other spa facilities and treatments are provided at a surcharge at Wellness Orhidelija. A children's sand-filled pool and play area, as well as 2 waterslides are available, and there is a 7D cinema hall as well. All rooms at Hotel Sotelia feature modern furniture and bathrooms with a bathrobe and either a shower or a bathtub. Each room is air-conditioned and has a balcony, satellite TV and a minibar, as well as free WiFi access. Other amenities include a radio, a telephone and a safe. Pros: The food is excellent. The dinner choices were like in a great restaurant, and the restaurant by the pool in Orhidelia was unusually good.

Cons: There were a lot of unruly childeren running down the hotel halls and making noise past 10pm.

Pros: Overall, we enjoyed our stay, especially the location and the quality of the food, both at the breakfast buffet and at dinner, which were very good. The staff felt a bit cold at first, but once contact was established, they were available, helpful, and friendly That said, we will definitely return for the Orhidelia Spa, which was absolutely paradisiacal, now that we better understand how the spa experience works.

Cons: However, the spa offering was not clear at all before arrival. As a couple without children, it was disappointing to be directed to the family spa, which was quite noisy, instead of Orhidelia, the flagship spa of the resort. This was somewhat surprising, even though we understand that it is local custom for sauna and hammam areas to be naturist. We were also slightly surprised not to be greeted when entering the hotel, which, for a property of this category, feels like a basic expectation in hospitality.

Optimal place for a relaxing stay

Pros: The hotel was easy to find and had a private parking lot. I requested a quiet room, and it was indeed very quiet. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. I had the half-board plan. The food was excellent. The staff was very friendly.

high quality and high price thermal spa

Pros: Beautiful hotel, very modern rooms. Very clean. Beds, pillows, lights in room- everything was perfect. Heating in room is also very good. There are two towels and bathrobe per person intended for pools so you dont need to take those things from home. Breakfast and dinner- one of the best in my life. Very big selection of high -quality food. All employees are top professionals. When you stay in this hotel you have access to pool with thermal water. Pool is clean, big enough, there is relaxing area and restaurant as well. Highly recommended.

Cons: Price of hotel is very high. Sauna is naked area and I just dont like that. We were not told that our ticket doesnt include Family fun pool so we could spend time only at one pool without any amusement for children (except nice hot water of course..). There is only one place (restaurant) where you can eat during the lunch time. Food is tasty, portions are big but be prepared to stay in line and wait.
