Tičarjev Dom at Vrsic pass

Happy place with great staff, good food & excellent beer choice with the most amazing view.

Pros: The vibe, staff, food and beer were exellent! Breakfast was also really good and so was coffee! Panorama views from the restaurant terrace and room balcony - amazing! Also location very convenient for hiking. Hot shower available.

Cons: Rooms were cleen and bed comfortable, yet they may benefit from some upgrade. The balcony room that I stayed at, was quite chilly during night, but there was a small heater provided. Shower usage was a bit tricky; token machine was located outside the shower cabin; also no good option to change.

Pros: Great location at the top of the pass! The staff were also great and very knowledgeable about the hikes and other activities in the area.

Cons: It would be nice if the shower tokens lasted just a little longer.

Pros: Breakfast was exceptional. A lot to chose from, good quality. Great to start the day in the mountains.

Cons: Dinner was mediocre. Pasta was simply bad, sausage was low quality.

Decent mountain hut

Pros: Friendly staff, free hot shower, good food and drinks at the restaurant.

Cons: Room was very small, making it hard to fit or even open the door. Beds not comfy and noisy.

Fantastic accomodation, unforgettable place

Pros: We got a room with a view to the mountains, there was a shutter on the window, and a closet too (not in every room), so we had everything we needed. Everything was clean and the staff was really nice. We stayed for 5 nights, and they asked after a couple of days if they should change our sheets and if everything was ok. The breakfast and the food at their restaurant are delicious. At night, you can sometimes see the milky way if you go out for a bit.

Cons: There was a big itchy blanket wrapped in a clean sheet instead of a duvet, which we didn't really like, but it was ok.

Pros: Incredibly friendly staff and just a great atmosphere in general. Rooms are clean,, and so are the other facilities. Breakfast is lovely, including freshly baked croissants and eggs cooked to your liking. For lunch/dinner they also offer great quality local food and drinks. And the location couldn't be any better in the middle of the mountain pass and wirh plenty of hiking trails going right past the lodge. Would absolutely come back here!

Great place to stay at!

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. There are many trails that start right at the doorsteps; easy ones, via ferratas but also high mountain trails. Really great location for a few day stay with friends!

Cons: There is no access to the kitchen for guests. No option to cook self made meal. The kitchen closes at 8 pm. The only option to cook meal when coming back late from hiking is to go outside with camping cooking set and cook there. Infrequent local transport (bus) service from the valley. Difficult to do food shoping regurarly, also difficult to get there in less than half day from Lhubjliana. If one arrives to Ljubljiana in the afternoon one can get to Kranjska Gora only. Taxi from Kr. Gora are usually unavailable and pricy (40 Euros).
