Slovenia 🇸🇮

Cosy, clean, exceptional

Pros: Wonderful, cosy hostel. We were 2 friends in the mixed dorm staying 2 nights in July and attending Floating Castle festival. It's quiet, temperature is great, beds comfy, all clean, enough space between beds. Fully equipped kitchen and fridge, nice private, airy bathrooms. Peace and quiet and friendly staff. Easy to find, easy to park, easy everything. Totally recommend.

Wonderful area to explore if you have a car

Pros: Beautiful location in small village. Exceptionally clean. Staff very helpful and easy check in. Great balcony area to eat.

Charming Hostel in beautiful surroundings

Pros: Charming hostel in beautiful surroundings. We were a group of cyclists and had a great stay at the hostel. Although booking and check-in were a bit chaotic, the host was nice, helpful, and flexible and we could sort everything out. We booked the Junior Suite (basically a house of its own) and were happy to find really nice rooms, clean bathrooms and a large kitchen area for cooking, eating or just spending time together. Unfortunately, we had to leave early and couldn’t try the breakfast. The location seemed a bit remote but there is a restaurant and supermarket just 1km away.

Pros: Beautiful building and area. Loved hiring 1 bike plus 1 scooter. Wished you had more. Boys enjoyed basketball.

Cons: Air conditioning struggled with heat wave so room very warm. Breakfast ok. Depends on the day to how much is offered.

A pleasant stay for three nights. Not very busy, so I had the dormitory to myself each night.

Pros: Nice peaceful location, very clean. Good wi-fi, and dorms had air-conditioning.

Cons: The dormitories are in the attic with beds on the floor, so not much head space. Hostel breakfast varied according to how many guests were there at the time.

Great location, room and staff

Pros: Great location in a beautiful, sleepy part of Slovenia. Amazing bear watching nearby and trips to Cerknica Lake in easy reach. Clean and simple room and friendly staff.

Charming Youth Hostel

Pros: My bed in the dorm was extremely comfortable. For someone hiking the Via Dinarica, it was something I really appreciated. I really loved the charming characteristics of the place too. There were not a lot of guests, so it was nice and quiet.

Cons: This won't be an issue with people in a car, but the nearby stores and restaurants are a kilometre away.
