Pros: The staff were great. We checked in late due to border delays, and the staff stayed longer to check us in for an additional fee. Good staff overall.

Pros: OK, so it's in the middle of nowhere, but the WiFi is great and the network connection is perfect + the water is hot in the shower. Breakfast varied and good value.

Hidden gem in the forest

Pros: The warm welcoming, the hospitality, the generosity, the laughs and a service that goes beyond what you would/could expect.

Cons: That we can't stay there again on our way back...

Unique experience in a place with potential

Pros: The location inside the forest is amazing. There are some beautiful caves just minutes away by car or by foot. To be honest, we read a lot of bad reviews about this place. Quoting Forrest Gump, Hotel Rakov Skocjan seems to be like a box of chocolates. Everyone gets a unique experience, you just never know which one. We also arrived in the dark, but the main entrance on the other side than the parking was open. There was a room key there with my name on a piece of paper. There was no one, probably not even other guests!? Surreal, cool, adventure but yes, don't expect guaranteed breakfast bufets, lavish dinners and smiling hosts when you arrive. You might get them, just don't assume you will (for now).

Cons: The hotel could manage expectations better by not offering breakfast on Booking. There is nothing you can eat otherwise Also they could automatically send instructions on how to enter the building when no one is there at reception anymore. I think clarity towards guests can really help a place like this get better, one step at a time.

Pros: Nice place in Slovenian wilderness! Recommended for nature tourism!

Pros: The location is perfect for anyone wanting to escape the city and enjoy the nature. The stuff is super kind, rooms comfortable with nice balcony.

Cons: For me everything was right, all negative comments just refer to personal prefetences. Maybe you will be disappointed if you are strictly vegan and/ or used to postmodern habits... Ok
