Warm, super friendly and steeped in history- my experience of the old Slovenia!

Pros: Perfect guesthouse in the depths of the Slovenian Forests- calm atmosphere, lovely building, quaint and homely. Everything I was hoping to experience. The owner couldn’t do enough to make my stay comfortable and bent over backwards to meet my awkward arrival time- perfect host!

Cons: Nothing. (You do need a hire car to get around the town and area though)

Pros: Very friendly host who gave us the best recommendations to see the beautiful surroundings and nature (he also put us in touch with a contact person for bear watching). Good breakfast and easy check-in and -out. Room is a little dated but big, clean, cosy and with large windows. Parking space at the building.

Pros: This was one of the nicest hosts I have ever met. We was incredibly helpful and friendly and even joined us at night to told us some historic background of the city and the guesthouse. The house is a little outdated as expected but we had a comfortable stay nonetheless. Everyone was super friendly.
