Chalet Gorenjka - Velika planina

Pros: It was a perfect location. Quiet and peaceful. Astounding and breathtaking view of mountains.

Pros: It's a perfect nature getaway but with very clean and comfortable house with everything you need for a great relaxation. Hottub is an extra plus, and morning / night wiev on mountains is just amazing. The response from resort team was very quick. Would recommend! You should bring your own water/or find the extra water/coffe/food in chalet that you can buy.

Incredible experience but expect some additional costs not in the headline price.

Pros: Fantastic location. Very clean and lovely local staff who helped with the hot tub.

Cons: Paying for the bedding - please just include this cost in the price and charge accordingly. What’s next, paying for toilet roll! Having to use bottled water which was €3 per 1.5 litre was not ideal when there is such a drive to reduce plastic bottle usage/ waste.

Pros: Tub, view, atmosphere. Everything was clean and provided with instructions. There were games and the kitchen is well equipped

Cons: Bad matress, no hot water in shower and i think you should offer at least one free bottle of water considering tap water is not drinkable

Pros: The cabin is cozy, spacious, everything is new, spotless clean. The nature is amazing. It's located 5-10 min walk from the chairlift. The beds were very comfortable, there was plenty of wood for heating. The hot tub was a great experience, as well as the sauna. The host was available via messages, although sometimes it took some time to get an answer. There was food in the pantry to buy.

Cons: The water is not potable, which was not stressed in the object description, but you can buy water from the pantry. The water heater (for showers) had very limited hot water for showering (one short shower max). The sauna couldn't get heated up to 70C, even tough it was set that way. A toaster would be nice since you can't buy fresh bread. These are all minor things, we had a great time!

Pros: We had the pleasure of staying with Gorenjka for the second time, and it's an experience we eagerly anticipate repeating. This enchanting retreat stands out as a rare gem, offering a harmonious blend of tranquility, natural beauty, and luxurious comfort. Surrounded by serene snowscapes and the whispering sounds of nature, it's a place where one can truly unwind and reconnect with the essence of peace and quietude.

Pros: Chalet Gorenjka was an absolute dream place to stay! We got engaged in Ljubljana a few days before & this was a perfect place to celebrate. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. The views from the chalet are simply stunning, especially with the snow! It was so cosy drinking red wine and reading next to the log fire. The sauna was a lovely place to heat up in the cold - unfortunately we couldn't use the hot tub due to bad weather but this would've been superb! The nearby pub is a short walk away & a lovely sociable place. We will be back again for skiing & summer hikes! Thanks so much again to the lovely Velika Planina staff including Uros & Asti!

Beautiful hut in a tranquil mountain area with breathtaking views and lots of cows.

Pros: The setting was lovely. The hut felt more secluded than some others so we had total privacy.

Cons: I liked everything about the property but be careful if you arrive on a Sunday that all shops are closed except petrol stations. Make sure you do your food shop on Saturday

A fantastic mountain chalet stay with gorgeous views

Pros: It is the last chalet at the end of the road in touristic settlement on Velika Planina. You get incredible mountain views, peace and quiet. Chalet offers comfy beds, warm water and heated floor in the corridor and toilet. Water from the tap is not drinkable so you need to bring your own or buy bottled water that is offered in the kitchen cabinet (2,5€ per 1,5liter). Need to make your own fire from the wood provided if it's cold. Dogs are welcome for 20€/night. 300m from the mountain hut Zeleni Rob with delicious food. Owners respond quickly and are very supportive ib everything you may need. A lot of English and Slovene books in the shelves, also some family table games available.

Cons: As it is a mountain chalet you get all you need for your stay in a wilderness.

Amazing cozy winter stay with friends

Pros: Chalet Gorenjka is perfect for bigger groups - with 3 separate bedrooms, it was very comfortable for us 7. It is the last chalet in the settlement, so you have some privacy and a great outlook on the Alps. We were very happy with all the features: cozy fireplace, well-equipped kitchen, sauna and the outdoor bath that was a treat! I'd definitely recommend staying here for some winter wonderland & hygge vibe :)
