Hotel Bela Krajina

Pros: Very central location. Spacious and clean room. Abundant breakfast.

Great location, clean and comfortable modern hotel. Great staff. Great breakfast.

Pros: The room was good. Plenty of space and the bathroom was good. The breakfast was great (but too much food).

Cons: It's minor, but it would have been useful to have more power sockets by the desk.

Pros: The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good as were the evening meals (which were also good value for money). The location was 4 minutes walk to the exceptional city museum and also to the wonderful art gallery. What a surprise both of these were for such a small city. Metlika is also a short drive from the beautiful source of the Krupa River, which is a spring, from which there is a 2km walk along the river which takes you to a pre-historic cave (10,000 years ago).

Cons: I didn't receive instructions for entering until midday on check in day, and as we had no internet after 10am I did not know there were special instructions. However, there was a 24 hour phone number to call on the door of the hotel and the man I spoke to was extremely helpful and guided me into the building without a problem.

Excellent family run hotel

Pros: Lovely hotel in the centre of Metlika. Have stayed here several times and it is always a pleasure. Staff are helpful and attentive. Rooms are always spotlessly clean, air conditioning working well for the current heatwave (37c) nice little bar with cold beer. fantastic breakfast. It’s a great place to stay.

Pros: Nice hotel in a quiet little town near Croatian border, perfect for over night stop. Room was clean and tidy. I had a fantastic nights sleep on the very comfortable bed

Cons: Breakfast was chaotic! 1 girl running the whole restraunt when it appeared to be a full house. The girl was lovely and did her best but when we come down there was very little food left.

Pros: . Very clean rooms, comfy beds, good location, quiet, good parking place. Very good breakfast.

Cons: A bit of dust here and there made it feel like home. 😄

Comfortable accommodation in Bela Krajina / White Carniola

Pros: I was working in the amazing new Metlika Museum with a colleague. The hotel location is excellent in a lovely traditionally rural area with various opportunities for exploration. We were warmly welcomed with a smile. The hotel is surprisingly modern and well-appointed. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant with delicious local wine. Our rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms exceeded expectation. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. All in all, a very good experience. Thoroughly recommended. PS: The hotel is a short walk from the Metlika Museum, which beautifully presents the local history at great depth. It is one of the best museums we have ever visited anywhere, and is well worth visiting for more than an hour.

Cons: The only disappointment was the wifi connection in our rooms. Despite carefully following the login instructions, neither of us could make a connection. But the alternative restaurant wifi was working fine.
